Washington Liquor Sales Rise In July

OLYMPIA, Wash. (Metro) -- State officials say liquor sales in Washington were up in July more than 15 percent from July 2011.

July 2012 was the second month for private liquor sales in Washington after decades of state run liquor sales.

The Washington Department of Revenue says tax revenue from liquor sales from May through July was $68 million, 15 percent higher than during the same period last year.
