Driver, Vehicle Licensing Fees Rise October 1st



OLYMPIA, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Starting October 1, it will cost more to acquire or renew a driver license in Washington.  .

The fee will rise from the current $25 for a five year license to $45, and an ID card will rise from $20 to $45.

Title applications will also cost more, rising to $15 from the current $5. 

The fee for an original-issue license plate for vehicles other than motorcycles will rise from zero to ten dollars, and from zero to $4 for motorcycle plates.
