Two Driver Killed In Speeding Accidents



SKAGIT, Wash. -- The State Patrol says two drivers in Island and Skagit counties were killed over the weekend while driving too fast.

Twenty-one-year-old Daniel Torget of Freeland was speeding on Fish Road on Whidbey Island early yesterday morning when he veered off the roadway and struck a power pole.

He was dead at the scene. And a 22-year-old motorcycle rider from Mount Vernon was traveling fast on Peter-Anderson Road Friday night when his motorcycle collided with the back of a truck and left the roadway.

The rider was killed.
His name has not been released.
