LYNDEN, Wash. -- Lynden officials have agreed to hold a public hearing after hearing concerns about a plan to open a home-based gun-building business near Lynden High School.
Jordan Nelson, 30, of Lynden has applied with the city to start the gun-building business in his Ridgeway drive home.
The Bellingham Herald reports that at least one neighbor raised concerns with the city because the home is about 1,000 feet away from Lynden High School.
Nelson says he'll be glad to answer any questions about the business.
The public hearing is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, at the Lynden City Hall Annex on 4th Street.
