Six Juvenile Offenders Captured After Escape

SNOQUALMIE, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Six teenage offenders being held at a juvenile detention facility in Snoqualmie are captured after knocking a female staff member unconscious and escaping.

Authorities say the high-risk offenders, ranging in age from 14 to 15, locked the Echo Glen Children's Center staff member in a room late Saturday night and took her keys and radio.

Officials say the boys split up into groups of two and scattered in the woods surrounding the facility, but were captured early yesterday morning and booked on multiple charges.

Authorities say the staffer who was assaulted is recovering.
