Lieutenant Gov. To Appear Before Disclosure Commission

OLYMPIA, Wash. (Metro)  -- Washington Lieutenant Governor Brad Owen is set to appear today before the Washington Public Disclosure Commission to answer questions regarding allegations that he was late in filing past campaign finance reports.

The P-D-C says Owen failed to file a November 2011 campaign report in a timely fashion and accuses him of filing no reports on his surplus campaign account from January 2009 through February of this year.

Owen says while some unintentional violations of campaign finance laws occurred, his campaign has made efforts to comply and he feels a penalty is not warranted.
