WASHINGTON D.C. (Metro) -- Saying it still can't find all the specialized workers it needs here in the U.S., Microsoft is asking Congress to charge employers millions for the right to hire foreign workers under H-1B visas.
The roughly $500 million would go toward getting more Americans trained.
"The Seattle Times" says the proposal faces an uphill fight.
It comes two years after Senate Republicans blocked an immigration overhaul bill two years ago.
