Woman Found With Throat Slashed On Nulle Road

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- Investigators worked through the night after a woman was found with her throat cut Friday on Nulle Road, along the Skagit/Whatcom County line.

The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office says it appeared that she had crawled from a nearby wooded area where she had been assaulted and left for dead.

The victim, a 20-year-old Burlington resident, was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bellingham, where she is being treated, and is expected to recover.

A suspect has been arrested in Eastern Washington. He is a 30-year-old Burlington resident and has a domestic relationship with the victim.

The sheriff’s office believes that he acted alone and no further suspects are at large.
