Pretrial Hearing Set For Staff Sergeant Robert Bales

JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. (Metro) -- Army Staff Sergeant Robert Bales will get an Article-32 hearing at Joint Base Lewis-McChord starting November 5th.

He's the soldier accused of killing 16 Afghan civilians during his most-recent deployment.

"The Seattle Times" says Afghan villagers will testify long-distance from Kandahar Air Field in Afghanistan.

Bales' attorney, Seattle's John Henry Browne, will cross-examine the villagers at the air field.
