Nelly shocked by tour bus drug bust

Rapper Nelly was left shocked and stunned when police in Texas found drugs on his tour bus on Thursday morning - because he had no idea a member of his entourage had allegedly smuggled heroin and marijuana aboard.

The rap star and fellow passengers were briefly detained by border cops in Sierra Blanca after a stash of drugs was uncovered during a routine vehicle search.

Brian Keith Jones, an associate of the star, was taken into custody after confessing the drugs were his - and Nelly was allowed to continue his journey.

Speaking to TMZ.com on Thursday afternoon, the Hot in Herre hitmaker said, "It is my understanding a member of my staff made an unfortunate decision to bring unlawful materials onto our tour bus that resulted in his arrest this morning.

"Neither I nor anyone else on the tour bus was aware of his decision to bring these on board. Law enforcement officials did not press charges against anyone other than that individual." (KL/WNWCZM/PAW)
