David Overstreet with AAA Washington says gas prices should continue to go down leading up to Election Day.
Prices should move even lower by the end of the year as long as there are no more refinery shutdowns.
Overstreet says gas typically goes up again in the spring, and analysts are anticipating record high prices next year.
Gas prices in Washington are down about 11 cents over last week, but Bellingham continues to have the highest average price in the state at $4.08 per gallon.
