SEATTLE, Wash. (Metro) -- Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and his wife are donating $500 thousand to the campaign seeking to have Washington's same-sex marriage law upheld.
Records filed with the Public Disclosure Commission show the half million dollars brings the total raised by the campaign to just below $11 million.
The Commission says Preserve Marriage Washington, the campaign fighting the same-sex marriage law, has raised less than $2 million.
Washington voters will decide on November 6 whether to uphold or reject the legalization of gay marriage, a law passed by the state Legislature earlier this year.
