Holiday Season Good Time For Job Seekers

WHATCOM, Wash. -- If you’re looking for a job here in Bellingham, this holiday season could be good news for you.

State Employment Security Department spokeswoman Ashley Wilson says many businesses will need additional help this time of year.

Wilson says it looks like the Bellingham area will need to fill around 400 jobs.

That’s down from last year’s actual number of jobs filled, which was 476.

Wilson says last year, the number of positions was higher than what they had predicted.

She urges job seekers to visit the WorkSource website to search their online holiday job marketplace.
