SEATTLE, Wash. (Metro) -- President Obama is throwing his support behind R-74, the state ballot referendum that would uphold the same sex marriage law passed by the Washington Legislature earlier this year.
An Obama campaign spokesperson released a statement earlier today saying the state's "same-sex marriage law would treat all Washington couples equally, and that is why the President supports a vote to approve Referendum 74."
The latest opinion polls show most of the voters questioned support the measure.
