Hurricane Sandy Prompts Flight Cancellations

SEATTLE, Wash. (Metro) -- Flights out of SeaTac Airport to various East Coast destinations are cancelled as Hurricane Sandy bears down on the Atlantic seaboard.

Alaska Airlines says all flights from Seattle to Boston, Newark, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. scheduled for today have been cancelled.

Officials say passengers traveling to those cities are being urged to check their flight status before traveling to SeaTac.
