Finalists For Port Exec. Director In Town For Interviews

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- You can meet the future leader of the Port of Bellingham at a community reception today.

The three finalists for the port’s executive director position are in town for interviews today and tomorrow.

The finalists are Jonathan Daniels from the Port of Oswego, Bill Panos from West Sacramento, and Les Reardanz from the Port of Everett.

Port Commission President Scott Walker says the commissioners have all interviewed each of the candidates, and they believe the finalists would be able to lead the port in a way "that will result in strong performance for our community."

Everyone is invited to come meet the three finalists and hear brief presentations from each person during the reception this afternoon at 5 p.m. at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal in Fairhaven.

The candidates will be available for informal conversations, and you'll be invited to fill out comment cards with your thoughts about the candidates for the commissioners.
