Rumor Mill Says Microsoft Might Buy Netflix

REDMOND, Wash. (Metro) -- So far, no one is commenting on a wave of reports that Microsoft is about to make an offer for Netflix.

The "Puget Sound Business Journal" says one hint may be Netflix Chief Executive Reed Hastings' planned departure from Microsoft's board.

The theory is that Netflix desperately needs more streaming capability and Microsoft could provide it.

Netflix shares have lost half their value this year.
