McKenna called Inslee to congratulate him on his win just before 6 p.m. Friday.
Campaign Manager Randy Pepple says they had been holding onto hope that late arriving ballots would close the gap for the McKenna, but it became clear that the numbers weren’t going their way.
Pepple talked to reporters shortly after McKenna conceded, and Inslee held an evening press conference as well.
