Zamora Called Too Dangerous For Hospital, Sent To Prison

MONROE, Wash. (Metro) -- A man who killed six people including a sheriff's deputy in Skagit County four years ago is being transferred to the prison in Monroe.

The Department of Social and Health Services says Isaac Zamora is too dangerous to remain at a state mental hospital.

Officials say Zamora "presents an unreasonable safety risk in a state hospital setting" for patients who have been found not guilty by reason of insanity.

Zamora shot and killed Deputy Anne Jackson and five others in September of 2008.

Four more people were injured.
