School Improvement Grants Helping More WA Students Succeed

OLYMPIA, Wash.  (Metro)  -- There's word that more money for Washington School Improvement grants is helping more Washington students succeed.

Randy Dorn, the state Superintendent of Public Instruction, says 17 schools received between $50,000 and $2 million in grants for two years, but the program was not renewed this year.

Studies showed that students in those schools had noticeable increases in test scores.
