Yesterday's meeting was broadcast live over the internet thanks to www.centerfornewmedia.org.

Several local supporters of the Gateway Pacific Terminal spoke before the meeting.

The public comment period on the scope of the environmental impact statement for the project runs through January 21.

A draft EIS could then take at least year to prepare.

Anyone can go to www.eisgatewaypacificwa.gov and submit a written comment.
