OLYMPIA, Wash. (Metro) -- Governor Christine Gregoire is expected to release her final budget plan as governor tomorrow.
The governor may include state employee pay raises in the spending plan after her budget office concluded that a number of labor contracts negotiated for the next two year fiscal period are "feasible" for the state to pay.
The cost of the contracts has been estimated at $238 million from the state general fund, including $171 million for ending the three percent cuts in pay and work hours for most state workers.
The government employees could be in line for one percent pay increases in mid 2014, depending on revenue growth.
