Boeing, SPEEA Contract Talks To Resume Today

EVERETT, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Contract talks between Boeing and the union representing its nearly 23 thousand engineers and technical workers are scheduled to resume today after a "cooling off" period of more than a month. 
 
Discussions began last April, and members of the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace rejected Boeing's first offer in October. 

Afterward, Boeing requested a federal mediator to assist in negotiations. 

The talks are to resume at 1 p.m.
