Jack Frost Makes An Appearance In Bellingham

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- Ready for a dusting of snow?

Forecasters are saying that it’s definitely probable that we could see the white stuff in Bellingham this week.

Meteorologist Rufus Lalone says the storm system hanging over the northwest right now is loaded with moisture, but behind it is a mass of cold air that could lead to snow.

He says the cold air might keep the clouds away, but any moisture that does move in will come in the form of snow.

Lalone says don’t be surprised if one to three inches of snow falls in Bellingham around Saturday night.

We could also see some of the coldest overnight temperatures so far this winter.

Another shot of cold air could arrive late next week.

Travel is likely to be challenging across much of the Pacific Northwest once the cold air is in place.
