OLYMPIA, Wash. (Metro) -- Governor Jay Inslee says he will consider extending two taxes that are scheduled to expire in June, if necessary, in order to balance the state budget or to make sure education is adequately funded.
Inslee says an extension of the tax on beer and a surcharge in the business and occupation tax would not constitute a tax increase.
Inslee made a pledge during his campaign that he would not increase taxes.
