LYNDEN, Wash. -- A worker nearly loses his arm at a Whatcom County construction site.

Lynden assistant fire chief Robert Spinner says the victim's arm was crushed between his dump truck's body and bed while working at at site near Double Ditch Road in Lynden on Friday around noon.

Spinner says the man, who is in his late 20's, was rushed in an ambulance to Peace Health Saint Joseph Medical Center after his co-workers drove him to the Fourth Street Fire Station in Lynden.

While Spinner says he is unable to comment on the man's current condition, he does describe his injuries as "traumatic."
