SEATTLE, Wash. (Metro) -- Seattle Police say they'll consult the U.S. Army's Criminal Investigation Division today in an effort to get information on a missile launcher that turned up at the Police Department's gun buyback event over the weekend.
Authorities say a man told officers he had just bought the launcher from another man at the event for $100.
Police say such launchers are controlled military items that are not available to civilians through any government surplus or disposal program.
