State Senator Sharon Nelson is speaking out against Senate Bill 5312, which she says would allow corporations to take advantage of working families.
The bill would allow lenders to get around the reforms and charge more than 200 percent interest.
Nelson says the most common users of these high-interest loans are low-income families who can't afford to be thrown into a spiral of debt by what she calls, “the wolves of predatory lending.”
