Members of the legislature and advocates from the Washington Policy Center will headline a late afternoon press conference today at the state capitol.
The event will highlight reform proposals to make Washington a better place to do business.
The potential reforms mirror results from the center’s yet to be released survey outlining top policy concerns of over 600 small businesses from around the state.
Washington Policy Center’s small business director Erin Shannon says the proposed reforms address the high costs related to healthcare, unemployment insurance and a high minimum wage.
Shannon also says a top priority for her group is containing state workman’s compensation costs which are currently the highest in the nation.
