Seattle, Wash. (Metro) -- After getting a wave of complaints about possible privacy violations, the Seattle Police Department has given up its plan to use airborne drones to help control crime and coordinate police activity during emergencies.
Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn made the announcement Thursday.
The American Civil Liberties Union told "Seattlepi.com" it was pleased.
