Airline Analyst Says Quick Fix Unlikely On Dreamliner Battery Problem

Seattle, Wash.  (Metro)  -- A noted airline analyst says a quick fix for Boeing's 787 Dreamliner battery problem is not likely.

That's what Richard Aboulafia of the Teal Group has told "The Seattle Times."

He says the Federal Aviation Administration might allow a short-term fix for the problem, as long as a long-term one is in the works.

He also says Airbus is considering an alternative to the 787's lithium-ion batteries for its upcoming A350XWB.
