Border wait times were in excess of two hours on Monday as B.C. residents were wrapping up a three-day holiday weekend.
He says other Canadian shoppers consider shopping south of the border sort of a mini vacation, as many of them don't have the budget for a big vacation anymore.
New research suggests that B.C. residents make an average of five trips to Whatcom County each year.
Most are coming home with gas, groceries and clothes.
