Vancouver, Wash (Metro) -- Washington is about to join Oregon's experiment with raising money for highway maintenance through a pay-by-the-mile system.

KING 5 says 20 Washington residents are already participating in the Oregon program, which uses transponders to track mileage and sends monthly bills.
