Ferndale, Wash. -- Leaders from around Whatcom County are coming together to talk about the issues that affect our small cities.
The public is invited to join the Bellingham/Whatcom County League of Women Voters and area mayors Saturday for a roundtable discussion.
The “State of Our Small Cities” forum will feature discussions on how to deal with challenges sprouting from growth, demographic shifts that have taken place in recent years, and economic and business development opportunities.
Sheri Lambert of the local chapter of the League of Women Voters says the moderated forum is open to questions and comments from the public.
The panel also wants to hear examples of how our small communities have been successful.
The event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Ferndale City Council Chambers on Second Avenue.
