State Senate Looks At Removing State Worker Healthcare From Talks

Olympia, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Conservatives in the state Senate want healthcare out of collective bargaining for state workers. 

Democratic Senate Majority Leader Rodney Tom has personally introduced a bill to do that, but also require wellness programs in state employee health plans starting next New Year's Day. 

According to "The Olympian," the Washington Federation of State Employees is already calling Tom's bill an assault on bargaining rights.
