State Fines BNSF For Defective Railroad Crossings

Olympia, Wash.  (Metro)  -- BNSF Railway is in trouble with the state for allegedly failing to fix some defective railroad crossings in Skagit and Whatcom counties, even after being warned last year. 

The state Utilities and Transportation Commission is fining the Fort Worth-based railroad more than 100-thousand-dollars. 

BNSF has 15 days to request a hearing.
