Bill Would Increase Penalty For Serial Vehicle Prowlers

Olympia, Wash.  (Metro)  -- The State House is considering a bill that would increase penalties for serial car prowlers. 

The Senate-passed measure would make vehicle-prowling in the second-degree a class C felony upon the third and subsequent convictions. 

It would carry up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $5,000. 

The sentence would be longer for those with previous felony convictions.
