Leaf's Lawyer: Whatcom Co.'s Fugitive Action Dismissed

BELLINGHAM, Wash. - A lawyer for former NFL quarterback Ryan Leaf says a fugitive action filed against his client has been dismissed.

The Whatcom County Prosecutor filed an interstate fugitive case against Leaf after he was arrested in Blaine last month while on his way to Texas to face drug and burglary charges.

Leaf was ordered to return to Bellingham for a hearing, but that hearing has been canceled.

The charges in Texas, however, are still in effect.
