Motorcycle Crash In Bellingham Sends Two To Hospital

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- The Washington State Patrol reports that alcohol was involved in a motorcycle accident that sent two people to the hospital Tuesday night.
Troopers said in a press release that 34-year-old Kirkland D. Ross, of Bellingham, was traveling eastbound on Marigold Drive near Lake Whatcom Boulevard just before 11 p.m. when he lost control of the motorcycle and hit a tree.
Ross and his passenger, 37-year-old Kerrie C. O'Brien of Port Orchard, were both injured and transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Bellingham.
According to state troopers, Ross doesn't have a valid motorcycle license and wasn't wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
DUI charges are pending in the accident.
