County Library Measure Passing In Early Count

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- In other local races, 51 percent of voters are approving the Whatcom County Library System’s property tax increase to pay for services.

Scott Korthuis leads Gary Bode in the Lynden mayoral race, 52 to 48 percent.

Leaders in City Council races include Brent Lenssen in Lynden, Bonnie Onyon and Charlie Hawkins in Blaine, and Ken Downey and Keith Olson in Ferndale.

But, both Ferndale candidates lead by just a few votes.
