High Winds and Flood Watch for Western Washington

WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. -- The National Weather Service is predicting a storm will blow into our area today, causing gusty winds and rains that will fill the Nooksack River.

A flood watch is in effect from Thursday afternoon through Friday afternoon for the Nooksack.

Wind gusts could hit 50-miles-per-hour according to the weather service.

Motorists should also be prepared for snow in the mountains.

Forecasters say unsettled weather will continue into next week as a series of disturbances move through Western Washington.
