Brown Admits 'Anger' Was The Catalyst In Rihanna Attack

Chris Brown has opened up about his savage attack on ex-girlfriend Rihanna - admitting it was "just anger" that pushed him into beating the singer black and blue.

In February (09), Brown was taken into police custody after biting and punching the star following a pre-Grammy awards party.

He was sentenced to five years probation, ordered to attend anger management classes, and told to stay away from Rihanna for the entire probation period.

And Brown admits he often questions how an argument between the pair escalated to such an extent.

In an interview with MTV, to be aired on Friday, he says: "My thoughts is like (sic), 'Why did it happen?' Like, 'What was I thinking? What is wrong with you?' That's what I'm thinking with myself. That's what my thoughts are, basically, now."

When quizzed about why he lashed out at his ex lover, Brown replies: "Just anger. Yeah, anger. Young people, we do before we think."
