Redskins Betts And Rinehart Out For Rest Of Season
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Washington Redskins running back Ladell Betts and guard Chad Rinehart suffered season-ending injuries in Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys, coach Jim Zorn said on Monday.
Betts suffered ligament tears in his left knee during the first quarter of Sunday's 7-6 loss to the host Cowboys.
The team said Rinehart had undergone surgery on Monday after breaking his leg in the third quarter.
"We lost Ladell Betts for the season," Zorn said. "He's definitely down...I don't expect to have him back."
The injury-depleted Redskins are 3-7 and in last place in the NFC East.
