Local Man Considered Person of Interest in Missing Person Case



BELLINGHAM,Wash. -- A Bellingham man who’s first wife vanished 15 years ago is still considered a person of interest in the case.

Twenty four year old Melisa Sloan went missing in May of 1994, just 10 days before she was due in court to testify against her husband John in a domestic violence case.

Police are once again asking people with information on Melissa’s disappearance to contact them.

The couple was was living in Orlando, Florida at the time. Police say John Sloan has not cooperated with them.

CNN and KIRO TV report that he is currently living here in Bellingham with a new wife and family.

Sloan has not responded to attempts to contact him.
