SEATTLE, Wash. — Another small earthquake struck off the coast of Washington.

A string of quakes hit 150 miles off the coast of Vancouver Island last week.

This one struck a little closer to home.

According to the USGS, a magnitude 2.5 earthquake hit about 5 miles northwest of Friday Harbor and about 31 miles west-southwest of Bellingham.

The quake was recorded at 9:13am December 31st at a depth of 11.4km
